Getting started as a passenger

WYHOP lets you book SACCO bus seats across Kenya — search a route, pick a seat, pay, and board with a digital ticket.

1. Create your account

  1. Open the passenger app or site.
  2. Enter your mobile number.
  3. Verify the OTP sent by SMS.
  4. Complete your profile name so it matches your travel ID.

2. Find a trip

Search by origin, destination, and date (for example Nairobi → Mombasa). Results show SACCO name, departure time, vehicle class, and fare.

3. Book and pay

Select a seat, confirm passenger details, then pay with M-Pesa STK Push, card, or wallet. Wait for confirmation before leaving the payment screen.

4. Travel day

  • Be at the stated boarding point 30+ minutes early.
  • Present your ticket (SMS/app) and national ID or passport.
  • Keep valuables with you; luggage rules follow the SACCO.
