Book a seat and pay with M-Pesa

Most Kenyan passengers pay WYHOP bookings with Safaricom M-Pesa STK Push (Daraja). Here is the exact flow.

Before you start

  • Use a Safaricom line with enough M-Pesa balance (fare + any shown fees).
  • Keep network signal strong — STK prompts fail on airplane mode.
  • Know which phone will pay (it can differ from the traveler’s number).

Booking steps

  1. Search route and date → choose a SACCO departure.
  2. Open the seat map and select seats.
  3. Enter traveler details.
  4. Choose M-Pesa at checkout and enter the paying MSISDN.
  5. Approve the STK Push on the phone with your M-Pesa PIN.
  6. Wait until the app shows Paid / Confirmed and you receive SMS.

If STK does not appear

  • Confirm the number format (2547…).
  • Retry once after 60 seconds.
  • Try card or wallet if offered.
  • If money left but no ticket, keep the M-Pesa code and email support@wyhop.com.

After payment

Your booking lives under My Trips. Download or screenshot the receipt before travel. Boarding staff scan or verify the reference against the SACCO manifest.
